About GHST
Familiar money, programmable infrastructure.
GHST is built for digital movement of a Ghanaian cedi-denominated unit across Ethereum. The project combines an on-chain token with an off-chain reserve model.
Ghanaian cedi
GHST uses GHS as its reference currency and is expressed with 18 token decimals.
Bank reserves
The stated backing model uses cedi-denominated reserves held in bank accounts.
Transparent architecture
The token uses a UUPS proxy pattern, with the public proxy and implementation addresses disclosed.
Reserve model
1 Token, 1 Cedi in reserves.
The stated reserve model is straightforward: for each unit of GHST intended to be in circulation, a corresponding Ghanaian cedi is held in bank reserves.
